I am fascinated with the ability of cloud-image to change a space. When I see clouds I feel uplifted. They give a sense of lightness and lack of gravity. I want to float. They are a body with no surface and infinite changeability.
This contrasts with the disc shapes that take up the bottom half of the work. These are strong and robust, symbolic of hope and strength but also function. They move like phases of the moon, chunky and firm but also have a glass-like quality. The paint has subtle transparency which shows the drips running through them. This painting embraces change and transformation.
