The Magnetic Field series is intuition, residue, and record.
Each work comes from a specific day, yet what
remains is not the event itself,
but air, time, and emotion, perceived and
formed within space—an energy field.
I did not exert intentional control; I simply
allowed it to happen.
(Some can be approached and articulated, while others have already become indistinct, leaving only a certain sensation.)
During that period, I was in an open state, allowing everything to happen. —
So these images are not something I deliberately constructed,
but rather traces left within a certain “field.”
It can remain within the work,
or at a certain moment extend into the entire space.
This depends on whether the viewer enters a
state of sufficient concentration.
When this state occurs,
the work is no longer a boundary,
but becomes a field that can be perceived.
It is a system that can be re-entered and reactivated repeatedly.
Each piece exists as an independent field. For me, sequence exists only in the process of
making,
and time is not linear.
