I have thought a lot about the meeting of the human/ designed world with the natural world and the entanglement of the two. This is something that broadly gets described now as a consideration of the ‘more than human’ world.
We are made of many layers of matter: skin, tissue, muscle, bone. But also bacteria, other living organisms. I think about the layers of earth beneath our feet. Filled with other microscopic living things. Are we really so separate?
I also think about mutation, survival and our growing synergy with synthetically intelligent structures. I read a lot of science fiction and embrace the imaginative power of strange stories. I enjoy the spaces that storytelling opens up in my minds eye.
