Alice Browne

1986年、英国オックスフォード生まれ。現在はロンドン在住、活動。

British artist Alice Browne (b. 1986) is best known for her 2D artworks that depict the intersection between phenomenological experiences and imaginative thought. “There is no perfection, no truth,” she says. “I hope to make works that create a tactile experience that embraces the mutability and failings of human experience.” Browne received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in fine art painting from the Royal College of Art in London (where she is currently based). The liberal use of abstract shapes, floating forms, and shading in her works creates a sense of dynamism that heightens the unrestrained nature of human imagination. For Browne, her works are the physical manifestations of her thoughts and ideas stemming from distinct times and places.
