Julie Navarro

Born in Paris in 1972, Julie Navarro works between Paris and the Limousin countryside. Through painting, sculpture, and performance, she explores the materiality of flows, phenomena of transformation, and the beating heart of light. She is interested in traces, discreet presences, and the invisible links that unite beings with their environments.

Her work has received recognition and selections in France, notably during her solo show at Art Paris 2026, which was selected for the “Art and Language” curation, and as a finalist for the BNP Paribas Prize. She was also a finalist for the COAL Art and Environment Prize and the Contemporary Talents Prize of the François Schneider Foundation. Her piece Silver Ball (2021-2023) was a laureate of the National Centre for Visual Arts (CNAP) program “Activateable Protocol Work” (Œuvre à protocole activable).

Her work has also expanded internationally, particularly in China through several residencies as well as research and creation periods. These experiences have nurtured a practice attentive to contexts, landscapes, and forms of circulation between cultures and territories.
